This Sunday (December 16), 18 local cookbook/food-focused authors will join forces for a Portland Cookbook Social at downtown's Imperial. Readers/eaters who stop by the free event can purchase books directly from the authors (and get them signed), and some will have food samples on-hand: expect treats from the likes of Bakeshop's Kim Boyce (Good to the Grain), The Sugar Cube's Kir Jensen (The Sugar Cube cookbook), and Cyril's Sasha Davies (The Cheesemaker's Apprentice).
