Inside Verde Cocina Perla, Now Open in the Pearl

New, 2 comments

[Avila, 12/17/12]

And now, a quick look inside Verde Cocina Perla, which quietly opened two weeks ago in the Pearl District space most recently home to Kin. The restaurant marks the second location for the farm-to-table Mexican spot, which opened its first proper brick-and-mortar in Hillsdale in summer 2011. Verde Cocina, which first garnered a following thanks to its PSU Farmer's Market stand, offers a healthy (and oftentimes vegan-friendly) menu by Guanajuato, Mexico native Noe Garnica, with options like huevos rancheros, gringas with mole, and fresh soups, salads, and tortillas.

The Pearl location also offers a full bar with, unsurprisingly, plentiful tequila options. Also unsurprisingly: weekend brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday; so far, sans the farmer's market lines. Hours of operation: Monday, 11a.m. to 9p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday, 11a.m. to 10p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 11a.m. to 11p.m.; Saturday, 9a.m. to 11p.m.; Sunday, 9a.m. to 9p.m.
