Opening Report

A tipster reports that coffeehouse/Russian pastry-slinger Piroshki & a Pickle has moved downtown to SW Yamhill, in a space across from Central Library that was most recently Cafe Cello. The cafe, which debuted on Friday, offers sweet and savory versions of the Eastern European stuffed buns (options include cranberry cheesecake; egg, spinach, and bacon; and broccoli, mushroom, mozarella). Co-owner Natalia Gurzhiy opened the original Piroshki location on SW Corbett earlier this year. More information here. [EaterWire]
