BROOKLYN—Mark Doxtader's wood-fired Tastebud will host a pop-up "Winter Solstice" market on Saturday, December 22, offering a site for cooks to pick up market-fresh ingredients for holiday feasts (or for last-minute gift-shopping). Spots like the Soup Annex, Lauretta Jean's, and Olympic Provisions will be on-hand, while Doxtader will throw an "open house" of sorts with bagels, pizza, and hot cider. The event runs from 10a.m. to 3p.m. [EaterWire]
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—Another Christmas Eve option, though mostly booze-focused: Rum Club will be open for abbreviated hours (8p.m. to 1a.m.), serving Tom and Jerrys, $3 Fernet pours, and $1 off all liquor for service industry folks. [EaterWire]
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—On Christmas Eve Eve (December 23), bar/bottleshop Beermongers will throw its annual barrel-aged beer festival, with 12 rotating taps of barrel-aged beer and cider. Pours are $3 for four ounces; official taplist is here. [EaterWire]
