A Look Inside Cyril's Wine Bar, Now Pouring in Southeast

[Avila, 12/6/12]

Clay Pigeon Winery now has room for drinkers to roost. The urban winery debuted its tasting room and cafe Cyril's Wine Bar two weeks ago inside its SE Oak facility, offering 13 wines by the glass or bottle, four beers on tap, small plates, and wine-friendly accompaniments like cheese and charcuterie (which are also available to-go). Co-owner Sasha Davies, an alum of Marlow & Sons, Murray's Cheese, and Portland's Cheese Bar, is the monger behind the case — both composed cheese plates and pieces a la carte are available — while the kitchen cooks up bites like butternut farro salad, sausage-apple stew, and a delicata tart.

Next door, co-owner/Clay Pigeon founder Michael Claypool works mostly with Pinot Noir and Syrah grape varietals. Cyril's at Clay Pigeon Winery is open now, hours: Tuesday to Thursday, 4p.m.-10p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 4p.m. to 11p.m.; Sunday, 4p.m. to 10p.m.
