Chef Abby Fammartino — who runs a twice-weekly supper club out of her SE Ankeny storefront — is branching out. According to an announcement, the Abby's Table kitchen/dining space will open a take-out retail space and salad bar early next year, offering soups, DIY salads, "treats," and sauces to-go, lunch through dinner. Fammartino's family-style supper club dinners, meanwhile, will be available only on Thursday evenings.
Abby's Table originally began as a commercial kitchen for Fammartino's line of sauces and dips, eventually expanding into a weekly supper club that remains soy, gluten, and dairy free. The retail space is scheduled to debut on February 1. Tentative hours of operation: Monday to Saturday, 11:30a.m.-8p.m.
