NORTHEAST: On Sunday, February 26, NE's Tabla Mediterranean Bistro will pair with infamous cheesemonger Steve Jones for a one-day tasting event dubbed the Ultimate Cheese Challenge. During four separate two-hour tasting sessions, guests will sample up to 36 cheeses hand-picked from Cheese Bar's selection, and the fromage will paired with wine, cider, and beer to determine which makes the best bedfellow for cheese. Tickets are $49 and available here.
DOWNTOWN: The Heathman teams up with Evening Land Vineyards for a five-course pairing dinner on Tuesday, Feburary 21. Burgundy winemaker Dominique Lafon will also be on-hand as a special guest and co-host for the dinner, which sees eight pours of both Evening Land and Domaine Dominique Lafon wines (paired with courses like diver scallops, Arctic char, and a lamb loin main course). Reservations are $175 and available by calling the restaurant. More information here.
NORTHWEST/ALPHABET DISTRICT: Forest Grove sake brewery SakeOne drives into town for the first dinner of its Momokawa Supper Club series, scheduled for Friday, February 24 at Wildwood.
