OLD TOWN: Neopolitan-by-way-of-Seattle pizza place Via Tribunali announced that it'll start lunch service beginning Monday, February 13. The midday meal will be available after 11:30am. [EaterWire]
PEARL DISTRICT: Here comes another weekend brunch option: The Pearl District's Paragon restaurant, a local branch of the chain owned by California's Moana Hotel & Restaurant Group, will begin serving a weekly Sunday brunch — complete with something called a "bacon Bloody Mary" — beginning February 19. To kick off the new menu, a two-day brunch service (on February 19 and 20) will also double as a fundraiser for the Blanchet House, a local non-profit that aims to "feed, clothe and offer shelter and aid to those in need." DOWNTOWN: Per the magical world of OLCC applications, Aaron and Jessica Grimmer, the current co-owners of the Park Blocks dessert spot Pudding on the Rice, are opening a 55-seat fast-casual restaurant in a SW Salmon space that most recently housed Zells Bros. Jewelers. Dubbed the Picnic House, the spot promises opening hours from 10am-10pm. More information as it becomes available. [EaterWire]
