Portlandia: The Dream of the 1890s is Alive in Portland

New, 2 comments

Portlandia is getting self-referential. In a rehash of its "Dream of the '90s" sketch from season one, Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein discover that a different kind of '90s — the turn-of-the-century 1890s — is also alive and well in Portland. Quote: "Remember the '90s, when everyone was pickling their own vegetables and brewing their own beer? ... Belts didn't really exit yet, everyone wore suspenders. Everyone used to carve their own ice cubes." Check the cameo by the Olympic Provisions meat sign: Video's after the jump.
