Tabla owner Adam Berger is the latest tenant to sign up for space in NE's upcoming "mini-restaurant row" the Ocean: According to the Oregonian, Berger is set to open a casual Italian meatball concept dubbed 24th & Meatballs, mirrored on NYC's popular Meatball Shop chainlet. Per the O's Michael Russell:
"Among other options, the menu will feature beef, lamb, pork and turkey meatballs on hoagies, panini, cheesy polenta, and at least one fresh pasta prepped at Tabla each day, Berger says. For dessert, a simple list: frozen custards, milkshakes and concretes."
24th & Meatballs's projected opening is set for summer 2012. More information as it becomes available.
