[Avila, 2/9/12]
Chez Panisse alum Jehnee Rains' creperie Suzette has officially made the move from its trailer on NE Alberta to proper brick-and-mortar digs on SE Belmont, debuting in the former Hall of Records space earlier this week. Suzette's menu still features a wide selection of both sweet and savory crepes (including vegan and gluten-free options filled with everything from homemade nutella to marsala-soaked figs), salads, and Rains' popular French onion soup.
The main difference? In addition to a 40-seat dining room and lounge space, check the bar: Suzette now flaunts a full liquor license, which has bred an eight-item cocktail menu featuring drinks like the Keepsake (vodka, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, and sparkling wine), as well as house takes on the Old-Fashioned and Paloma. Hours of operation: Tuesday-Thursday, 11:30am-10pm; Friday 11:30am-midnight; Saturday 8am-midnight, and Sunday 8am-4pm. (Notice that Suzette's prix fixe weekend brunch menu is on offer every Saturday and Sunday.)
