MOUNT TABOR: According to a press release, the E. Burnside space that once housed Bangkok Restaurant will soon be home to Tabor Tavern, a collaboration by Lompoc Brewing alum Ken “Zig” Naffziger (a Lompoc manager) and Lompoc head brewer Bryan Keilty. Big Idea Group's Sean Herron is consulting on the 65-seat project, which promises "pub fare, fresh-brewed craft beers on draft, as well as a full complement of spirits and wine." (The press release even includes a menu tease, highlighting dishes like lager-steamed mussels with chorizo, garlic, and mustard; and a black kale salad with barley and marinated mushrooms.) Projected opening date: mid-May. [EaterWire]

NORTHEAST: The magical world of liquor license applications reveals that while Navarre is expanding into half of the neighboring Chin Yen space, the other half will be occupied by a tavern dubbed the Ten Speed. As first spotted by WWeek, owner Tiare Farris formerly poured tequila at Philadelphia's Cantina Los Caballitos. [EaterWire, WW]
