Former Bar Avignon chef Jeremy Eckel — who left the SE Division wine bar in November 2011 — has resurfaced in an unexpected place: Taiwan. WWeek reports that Bistro302, in the Taiwanese city of Hsinchu, has imported Eckel to spearhead an "Oregon-style bistro" menu that also features an Oregon-heavy wine list (with bottles from WillaKenzie Estates, St. Innocent, and Bethel Heights).
