Chef Ken Norris — of the uber-buzzy upcoming seafood spot Riffle NW — has landed two more big fish to help with operations. In addition to the previously announced involvement of bartender-about-town Dave Shenaut, Norris has tapped CorksCru manager Dan Beekley (formerly of Square Deal) as wine director, while current Rum Club bartender Emily Baker is on-board as bar manager.
According to a Riffle spokesperson, Norris (along with partner Jennifer Quist Norris) first collaborated with Beekley during a series of "Test Kitchen" dinners at KitchenCru last year. Per the rep: "Beekley is known for introducing people to otherwise unknown and often esoteric wines... so he's really excited to be able to collaborate with Riffle and bring his approach to their catch-inspired restaurant." Beekley will still run his CorksCru wine shop full-time, while Riffle NW is still shooting for a May 2012 opening.
