During his annual "State of the County" public address, Multnomah County Chairman Jeff Cogen announced that plans are moving forward for Portland's long-stewing James Beard Public Market, planned for the west end of the Morrison Bridge. Cogen announced that a "tentative deal" has been reached with local developers Melvin Mark Companies, which submitted a proposal for the space in May of last year. [OregonLive]
