Major moving plans for Pix Patisserie: Owner Cheryl Wakerhauser announced over the weekend that Pix's current SE Division and N. Williams locations will shutter later this year, as the entire Pix operation moves to a 3,000-square-foot building on E. Burnside, on the block that's also home to Heart Coffee Roasters and the Screen Door. And alongside Pix's familiar macaron-laden menu, Wakerhauser will launch a new concept along with the move, in the form of an adjacent (savory?) tapas bar:
To complement the 150+ Grower Champagne and sparkling wine list we are heading over the Pyrenees to Spain. Bar Vivant will accompany the Frenchie Pix on site as a proper tapas bar — where the Txakoli is poured high, the croquettes are cheap, and the napkins are thrown on the floor.
Pix debuted on SE Division in January 2003, with its N. Williams location opening in October 2005. According to the email blast, Pix will officially make the location switch in August of this year. More information as it becomes available.
