ALAMEDA—Chef Johanna Ware is ready to debut Barwares, the cocktail lounge adjacent to her NE Fremont small-plates spot Smallwares: Ware will soft-open the spot during a release party for Teutonic Wine Company on Sunday, April 29. Tickets to the $25 event include wine pours, one beer, and bites of Ware's bar snacks, like chicken lollipops, a scallop tartare, oysters with fish sauce vinaigrette, and pork lemongrass sandwiches.
