Meanwhile, in NYC, Matt Lightner's Atera has received its first critic review, and it's a (rare) rave served up by New York Magazine's Adam Platt: "In terms of range, technique, and quirky inventiveness, [Lightner] does as good a job of this as any chef in New York since the glory days of the great molecular gastronomist Wylie Dufresne." Platt drops four out of five stars — placing Atera on par with reviews at Per Se and Le Bernardin. [NYMag]
