The New School reports that the hotly anticipated new brewery Gigantic Brewing — a collaboration between former Hopworks brewmaster Ben Love and Rock Bottom alum Van Havig — has set an opening date for its Sellwood tasting room: Wednesday, May 9. The blog notes, however, that Gigantic's first official brew — a dark Belgian-style ale — will make its debut during Portland's Cheers to Belgian Beers festival on April 21. [TNS]
