WILLIAMS—The Southern-styled boys at EaT: An Oyster Bar throw their annual Kentucky Derby party this Saturday, May 5, celebrating the pony races with a traditional crawfish boil and even more-traditional booze (Mint Juleps) available a la carte. The boil kicks things off at 12:30pm, with the races scheduled for 3:30pm. Reservations to the $21 boil not required; funny Derby-inspired hats recommended.
NORTHWEST/ALPHABET DISTRICT—Chef Marco Frattaroli will pair with Fabrizio Nencioni (from Tuscany's Agricola San Felice) for a Tuscan wine celebration at Bastas Trattoria, on Monday, May 7. Nencioni will pour seven different wines — including wines from Chianti Classico and Montalcino — to pair with a four-course dinner menu, featuring courses like pasta with Tuscan-style ragu, and rabbit served with olives and black pepper. Reservations are $65 and available by calling Liner & Elsen Wine Merchants.
E. BURNSIDE—June restaurant celebrates the magical pairing of burgers and Champagne during an afternoon "Burgers and Bubbles" event on Saturday, May 5. The lunchtime celebration — from 11am to 2pm — will provide sparkling wines by the glass, as well as June's usual burger (which features ham and Gruyere cheese on top of the beef patty).
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—Gabe Rosen's internationally inspired Biwa celebrates Cinco de Mayo by serving up some of its famous mash-up menu items: Expect Biwa tacos, ceviches, margaritas, and kimchi micheldas to make menu appearances on Saturday evening, all available a la carte.
N. WILLIAMS—NW's Bull Run Distilling Co. makes a guest appearance at Jenn Louis' Lincoln for a three-course cocktail pairing dinner scheduled for Wednesday, May 9. Reservations are required and $75; more information available by calling the restaurant.
