Beard-nominated chef Chris Israel will debut his anticipated Mexican-influenced spot, Corazon, just shy of throwing a Cinco de Mayo blast: According to Portland Monthly, the spot will swing its doors open for a three-day series of preview dinners on Thursday, May 10.
Per PoMo, Israel's menu will extend beyond the previously reported taco bar — and familiar favorites like enchiladas and tamales — with seafood-heavy "sophisticated small plates and entrees" available in the 110-seat dining room. And per the usual ChefStable style, Corazon's preview dinners will be all-inclusive of food and beverage, though with two "tiers" of reservations: a "Gold" experience (for $80) features six courses and an open bar, while a "Silver" ($50) option offers five courses and two beverages. Reservations are available by calling 503-241-1133; more information about the official public opening and menu as it becomes available.
UPDATE: An online form for preview dinner reservations has now gone live.
