The Division/Clinton neighborhood has drawn in another one: PoMo's Karen Brooks brings the scoop that longtime Nostrana chef de cuisine Kelly Myers — in a partnership with former Nostrana GM Elizabeth Davis — will soon open a Mexican concept, Xico, on SE Division's restaurant row.
According to Brooks, the Mexico-meets-Portland concept — which promises fresh, organic, and "handmade everything" (including fresh-ground corn for tortillas and tamales) — will debut in July as a take-out-only window, then follow-up in August with the debut of a 60-seat restaurant and bar. Menu details are light (aside from mentions of a signature rotisserie chicken), but expect a menu "with both casual and stepped-up options."
More information as it becomes available.
