Dude More Beer

Local microbrewing powerhouse Widmer Bros. is about to dramatically up its output. According to the Portland Business Journal, the NE Portland brewery has invested $3 million to install four new barrel fermentation tanks, upping its monthly output by "as much as 10,000 to 12,000 barrels." The new brewing capacity will allow Widmer to brew 24 hours a day, seven days a week beginning in 2013. [PBJ]
