Pearl District favorite Lovejoy Bakers has quietly debuted its much-rumored second location: far from its namesake street and on the Central Eastside's bicyclist commuter corridor, near the border of the Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood. According to co-owner Tracy Frankel (who, along with her husband Marc Frankel, also owns the Pizzicato franchise), the new retail storefront — built into Pizzicato's long-held 6,000 square feet of office space — doubles as a wholesale bakery space for both Lovejoy Bakers (which will up its restaurant wholesale accounts) and Pizzicato's take-and-bake operation.
Lovejoy SE will feature sandwiches, a salad, a complete selection of baker Shawn Trujillo's breads, and selected pastries. Current hours are 11am-2pm, Monday-Friday.
