Oregonian's Annual Diner Guide to Drop June 21

Fans of print dining guides, rejoice: The Oregonian's annual restaurant guide Diner will hit the streets on June 21, but as per usual, the O will slowly leak its sections online, leading up to the reveal of the paper's big award-winners: Rising Star and Restaurant of the Year.

In an introduction currently on the OregonLive website, editor Alex Pulaski describes the guide of mini-reviews as a celebration of sorts: "From the simplest of biscuits and gravy to elaborate variations of foie gras, countless concoctions explain why the Portland area's dining scene has been elevated to the national consciousness." First up in the rollout: Favorite West Side Spots, including picks like Little Bird, Park Kitchen, and Kin.

Last year, Diner named McMinville's Thistle its Restaurant of the Year and St. Jack its Rising Star. Speculation about this year's winners welcome in the comments.
