Bent Brick's Big Party; Market in the Square

NW/ALPHABET DISTRICT—The Bent Brick celebrates its one-year anniversary next Wednesday (June 20) with an outdoor crawfish boil benefiting the Portland Farmers Market. The outdoor event — which will also christen the spot's new wood patio — will kick off at 3:30p.m. and continue until chefs Scott Dolich and Will Presich run out of food; the entire $10 entrance fee at the door will be donated to PFM. DOWNTOWN—Speaking of the Farmers Market, the lunch-only Pioneer Courthouse Square Market will make its 2012 debut this Monday (June 18), with 35 vendors geared to supply local worker bees with their midday meal. Expect prepared food by C'est Si Bon!, Lovejoy Food, Tastebud, and Verde Cocina, with additional artisan food supplements from Olympic Provisions, Grand Central Bakery, and Black Sheep Bakery.
