Continuing the trend of in-progress restaurants sourcing funds on Kickstarter: Lardo, the food cart opening a true brick-and-mortar restaurant in SE's former Johnny B's space, is looking to raise $15,000 to help build the promised outdoor dining area. According to chef/owner Rick Gencarelli, the new location will also give Lardo the opportunity to "to bring in more local animals in-house... we can break down half pigs and whole pigs, we can cure more meats, really, really engage in the local food community."
