The magical world of liquor license applications reveals that NW 23rd's long-vacant Music Millennium space — which has housed scattered pop-ups and events since shuttering in 2007 — has finally landed a tenant. And it's a restaurant and/or bar! OLCC paperwork reveals an application for the Fireside filed by one Sue Erickson (perhaps the Sue Erickson that's a current member of the Oregon Bartenders Guild). Details are scant, but you know what to do.
Ever since the music store's shutter, its iconic space — on a prominent corner of the NW 23rd thoroughfare — has been the subject of many restaurant-moving-in rumors. (Bamboo Sushi NW, now soon-to-open across the street, was once rumored to be in the mix.) More news as it becomes available.
