[Avila, 6/25/12]
Kenny & Zuke's NW Thurman Sandwichworks has fully transitioned into the bagel-focused K&Z's Bagelworks as of today, in the second major bagelry opening in as many weeks. As promised, owner Ken Gordon has shifted the menu toward a breakfast focus, serving Ristreto coffee, boiled bagels available by the dozen, or as part of breakfast bagel platters (with options like gravlax, lox, or whitefish) or egg sandwiches. After 11a.m., Sandwichworks' "classic" sandwiches like the Reuben, meatball hero, and grinder are still available, though a new menu highlights the bagel's role in lunch/dinner bagel sandwiches (like a toasted Kosher salami with cheddar and tomato).
Hours of operation: 7a.m. to 6p.m., seven days a week.
