Courtesy a documentary team from Intel, here's a short and sweet video about how a few familiar food carts got their start (including Portland's Gaufre Gourmet and recent Travel Channel "Best Sandwich in the Northwest" winners Big-Ass Sandwiches). The cart owners seem to have one thing in common — opening their businesses after being laid off in the recession — but aspiring cart owners may come away with a tip of two: The median cost of starting a food truck in the US is $55,000. The video promises to be first of three cart-related videos from Intel's iQ website.
