Watch the Brunch Line Backlash Unfold on Portlandia

Ugh, food writers ruin everything, right? Friday's one-off episode Portlandia: The Brunch Special captures the disgruntlement that follows when media attention turns one brunch-goer's favorite restaurant into a long, five-hour line. Particularly when the bruncher gets vocal about it to a Portland Tribune employee: "Why don't you tell your food critic that the Food Channel called, and they've got a new gig for him: It's called 'Taste These Nuts.'"

The episode also featured a fake behind-the-scenes featurette with chef/restaurateur Bobby Flay, who starred as himself in a quest to make the perfect marionberry pancake. Eater National has the clips.
