'Portland-Inspired' Restaurant Opens in Vancouver, BC

New, 1 comment

Oh hey New Yorkers and food writers aren't the only ones enamored with Portland. Vancouver, BC recently welcomed Portland Craft, a bar and restaurant in the city's Riley Park neighborhood that offers a menu "inspired by the Portland food scene paired with the best craft beers & beverages Oregon has to offer."

So what culinary options are truly "Portland-esque"? Think beer-braised and beer-battered: a dish called "Pig & Pots" (braised pork belly), the Portlandia-leaning "Put a Bird on It" (fried chicken atop a waffle), and a charcuterie platter (because obviously). The beer list isn't quite exclusively Portland, and though Alameda and Hopworks make strong appearances, several pours hail from Northern California. Also not very Portlandish: the beer prices, which hover around $6.75 CAD (or $6.63 US) for a pint.
