[Avila, 7/29/12]
Time to hit the Market. Chef Troy Furuta's Continental restaurant debuts today in downtown's former Carafe Bistro space, after a two-month renovation that transformed the bistro into a modern room featuring an expanded bar area with windowside booth seating. (Carafe's familiar bistro chairs remain as part of the outdoor patio area).
As previously reported, Furuta (an alum of Clyde Common) will offer a constantly changing menu combining European techniques with local ingredients, in what ChefStable partner Kurt Huffman dubs "old-school Continental" cuisine. Market will open for lunch today, though dinner service is limited to those with "preview dinner" reservations (still available here).
