Remember when the Feast Portland food festival finalized its event lineup? Lies. Another event has been added to the calendar, and it comes two Portland favorites: bikes and brunch.
The Cielo Salon Brunch Ride, scheduled for Sunday, September 23, will take riders on a 50-mile tour of Sauvie Island and Portland, led by a trio of bike-enthusiast chefs: Jason French (Ned Ludd), Chris DiMinno (Clyde Common), and Chris Cosentino (SF's Incanto). Local bike-builder Chris King will also act as guide, and after the trek, riders will disembark at King's NW showroom, where the participating chefs will also cook up brunch (paired with beer from Double Mountain). Tickets to the 8:30a.m. Brunch Ride are $125 (including a cyclist swag bag from King), though the lazy/hungover sort can just show up to brunch itself for a $60 reservation. More information and tickets here.
