Portland will soon be home to the country's first (probably) non-profit pub. The 47-seat Oregon Public House — the brainchild of Oregon Community church founder Ryan Saari — will debut later this fall on NE Dekum Street, with all proceeds from food and beer sales going directly to charity. The bar will be run mostly by volunteers, with a handful of paid employees (including a full-time manager and chef). More information here. [KPTV]
