SE Division is getting more dessert. Downtown pie shop Lauretta Jean's will open its second location in the space recently vacated by Pix Patisserie (which is consolidating its operations in a new E. Burnside space). Portland Monthly breaks the news:

[Owner] Kate McMillen tells Eat Beat that the new shop will offer ultra-comforting breakfast pastries, savory quiches, egg sandwiches on flaky house-made biscuits, espresso, and — naturally — plenty of sky-high pies by the slice.

Lauretta Jean's (named for McMillen's grandmother) originated as a farmer's market stand, then expanded into SW 6th's Cafe Velo space in September of last year. McMillen's SE Division location — complete with indoor seating — is scheduled for a September opening. More as it becomes available.
