Hollywood's old-school-throwback Yaw's Top Notch diner will re-open on August 15. Per the Mid-County Memo, owner Steve Yaw — the grandson of the original proprietor — will resurrect the family-friendly soda fountain and diner nearly 30 years after its original incarnation closed for business. And he's taking the "old-school" approach literally: "We’re going to have an 87-year old former car-hop and 88-year old waitress to act as greeters." [MCM via OregonLive]
