Chef Anthony Cafiero is ready to debut his modern tapas restaurant Ración — in pop-up form, anyway. Earlier this summer (and before a brief stint in the Corazón kitchen), Cafiero told Eater of his plans to open a "hyper-modern" cocktail and tapas bar, noting that his ideal space would hold roughly 30 seats as part of a playful-yet-communal experience.
Today, Cafiero and ChefStable owner Kurt Huffman — a partner in both Corazón and Cafiero's new concept — announced a series of Ración pop-up dinners at ChefStable's Table 12 event space — beginning this Friday, August 24, Cafiero will serve an eight-course dinner (with pairings) every Friday and Saturday night through September 21. And although Ración's official website lists its upcoming address as the space once (and briefly) home to Corazón, Huffman says that no concrete plans have yet been made for the Corazón space. "There's nothing happening for sure," he says, noting the involvement of other investors.
