Chef David Padberg will soon depart his eight-year perch at Park Kitchen to helm the kitchen at upcoming gastropub Raven & Rose. The Oregonian breaks the news that the long-stewing restaurant — set for SW Broadway's iconic Ladd Carriage House — also has chef John Gorham (Toro Bravo, Tasty N Sons) on board as an independent consultant.
Per the O's Michael Russell, Raven & Rose will feature two separate bar spaces and 70 seats, with "draft and cask-conditioned beer at the downstairs bar and an upstairs lounge with a fireplace, leather sofas and free pool." The spot, a project by first-time restaurateur Lisa Mygrant, is shooting for an opening "around the holidays."
No word yet on Padberg's Park Kitchen replacement; more information as it becomes available.
