[Avila, 8/2/12]
Less than a year after ninja-vanishing from the Good Food Here cart pod, vegan favorite Kitchen Dances has resurfaced with a full-on brick-and-mortar restaurant inside NE's Milepost 5 artist community. Owners Piper Dixon and Mandi Plumb — who will still operate the Kitchen Dances booth at the Montavilla Farmers Market — offer KD's familiar menu of vegan entrees (many also raw and gluten-free), like raw golden beet ravioli, walnut "meat" tacos, and tempeh Reuben sandwiches within Milepost's large dining area and outdoor patio. The cafe also features Stumptown coffee and pastries from the Bi-Partisan Cafe, in addition to vegan desserts like raw coconut cream pie, hazelnut fudge, truffles, and smoothies.
Kitchen Dances' hours of operation: 9a.m. to 7p.m., seven days a week.
