Bon Appetit has unleashed its click-baity list of the Top 50 Best New Restaurants of 2012 (it's really a list of "nominees" for the real shebang — restaurant editor Andrew Knowlton's list of the Hot Ten of 2012 — which will be announced next week).
But three noteworthy Portland openings have been named among the year's finest: John Taboada's E. Burnside spot Luce ("This is simple, Italian home cooking stripped down to its elemental ingredients"), Team Denton's MLK grill Ox (for "fans of Argentina's simple grilled meats"), and the still-buzzing Woodsman Tavern (dubbed a "neighborhood gem" where Bon App editors get personal, suggesting to guests they should "say hi to Evan Zimmerman, behind the bar").
Are these the top three PDX openings over the past 12 months? Will one of them make Bon App's super-short list? Discuss in the comments.
