After a nearly year-long process transforming a (literal) NoPo crackhouse into a brick-and-mortar restaurant, Vietnamese/Korean fusion cart the Baowry has made its debut in St. Johns with a full plated menu and bar. In addition to its namesake pork and confit duck buns, the updated restaurant menu highlights small plates (like an eel and avocado rice bowl; and egg served with roe on pan-fried noodles), larger entrees (like Peking-style duck for two); and noodles in broth (including a version with bacon and black bean mussels). The small-plate menu also promises vegan appetizers like a veggie-based terrine.
The Baowry's hours of operation: 5p.m. to midnight, Wednesday through Sunday, with plans to start lunch service in a few weeks.
