[Avila, 9/11/12]
Kenny & Zuke's is ready for its late-night debut. As previously reported, Kenny & Zuke's Deli Bar, the third outpost of Ken Gordon's deli chainlet takes over the former Pix Patisserie space on N. Williams, with a focus on cocktails and late-night snacks — differentiating the spot from downtown's main K&Z deli and the NW Bagelworks outlet.
As a "deli bar," the restaurant features no fewer than six menus — a bagel-heavy breakfast/lunch menu featuring regular and bagel sandwiches; abbreviated evening and late-night menus with drinking snacks like baked pretzels, poutine, and charcuterie; and dessert (with options like profiteroles, cookie plates, and a brownie sundae. The newbie, of course, is the cocktail menu, crafted by current Ox barman Jamal Hassan, featuring 10 options (including takes on the NY flip, a Manischeweitz-spiked daiquiri, and the Curmudgeon, featuring a shot of Bulleit Rye with a pickle back).
The Deli Bar makes its debut tomorrow. Hours of operation: Monday through Thursday, 7a.m. to midnight; Friday and Saturday, 8a.m. to 1a.m.; Sunday, 8a.m. to midnight.
