WEST END—Chef Anthony Cafiero will extend his (temporary) stay in the former Corazon space: Pop-up dinners for Cafiero's upcoming modernist-tapas concept Ración will now stretch until October 6 (unlike the original late-September plan). Instead of cocktail pairings, the new lineup of eight-course dinners will feature wine pours, after an aperitif reception with snacks. More information and reservations here. [EaterWire]

WOODSTOCK—The Oregonian reports that SE Woodstock's Country Bill's Steakhouse will close its doors this weekend after 48 years in business. The spot — which had been on the market since early 2011 — serves its last meal on Saturday. [OregonLive]

LAS VEGAS—On Monday night, Kask bartender Nathan Gerdes took home top honors at GQ/Bombay Sapphire's 2012 Most Imaginative Bartender Summit. Earlier this summer, Gerdes won the regional round — and a free trip to Vegas — with his "Castor and Pollux" drink. [EaterWire]
