Cameo alert! Last night's penultimate episode of Bravo's Top Chef Masters — which narrowed things down to the final two competing chefs — offered a finale "sneak peek" that prominently featured a familiar face: Portland Monthly restaurant editor Karen Brooks, who will serve as a judge in the season finale. In the clip, Brooks — who's busy praising an unnamed dish "inspired by a love letter" — is among a judging panel described by host Curtis Stone as "10 of the most impressive culinary critics in the country."
The clip shows some contentious disagreement between members of critic panel, and Brooks tells Eater that "we all argued passionately about every dish." The Top Chef Masters finale airs next Wednesday.
