Pie Spot Hits the Ocean; More Street Seats Coming

New, 3 comments

NORTHEAST—The microrestaurant complex the Ocean has welcomed its second opening, in the form of the Pie Spot food cart, which has relocated from its former location at the D-Street Noshery cart pod to a new bakery/coffeeshop location on NE 24th, between Glisan and Sandy. Owners Ashley Ragsdale and Jessica Woods have launched a Kickstarter campaign to purchase ovens and an espresso machine for the brick-and-mortar's official opening. [EaterWire]

EVERYWHERE—More citywide parking spaces are slated to become outdoor dining tables. Per the Mercury, the Portland Bureau of Transportation's "Street Seats" program will soon pop-up in front of 15 local restaurants — SE Division's Wafu was the first to debut the seats, and the Pearl's Oven & Shaker has recently followed suit.
