The fashionable and famished performance art fan-cum-late night foodie will have plenty of opportunities to fuel up at this year's Time-Based Art Festival, which officially kicked off last night and runs through September 16. For the first time in the festival's history, Edible Portland's Lola Milholland has brought together a group of ever-changing chefs for an ongoing pop-up kitchen inside the TBA Biergarten (inside THE WORKS at Washington High School). The post-mod meals kicked off last night with Boke Bowl, and over the next nights will feature Grüner, the Woodsman Tavern, haute pasta cart Artigiano, Via Tribunali, Portobello, and Nong's Khao Man Gai.
TBA will also serve up three nights of "Blind Tasting Bingo," a game featuring a flight of 15 hard-to-identify small bites (curated by Ned Ludd's Jason French, Chef Naoko's Bento Cafe's Naoko Tamura, and Smallwares' Johanna Ware), as well as a farmers market-inspired healthy snack bar in the former Washington High School's "Principal's Office," cooked up by Abby Fammartino of Abby's Table. There's also something called the "Human Vending Machine," which sounds appropriately artsy and weird. More information about TBA food events and times here.
