It's a double-dose of Tasty N Alder news drops today: Portland Monthly reports that chef Morgan Brownlow (most famously an alum of Ripe, clarklewis, and Tails & Trotters) has joined the kitchen of owner John Gorham 's hotly anticipated expansion of Tasty N Sons. Per PoMo:
"He'll be manning the stoves, grills, and pasta pots at night while collaborating on ideas with Gorham and chef Kyle Prewitt. For several months, Brownlow has quietly been working with Gorham on Tasty's and Toro's impressive new charcuterie and salami expansion."
The addition of Brownlow follows Monday's news that Ox barman Jamal Hassan was joining the Tasty staff. As for Tasty's menus: During brunch, expect some signature dishes from its N. Williams location to crossover, with the addition of some "Korean and Mexican inspirations." Dinner, as previously reported, will focus on steaks.
Tasty's projected opening: January 30 (for brunch) and February 13 (for dinner). February 6 (brunch), February 20 (for dinner).
