Beer Joins Meat Cheese Bread Sandwich

Buckman's beloved sandwich shop Meat Cheese Bread now has a boozy counterpart, thanks to the official opening of Beer, the adjacent beer bar/bottleshop that debuted just before the holidays. MCB owner John Stewart offers 10 rotating taps and more than 100 bottles at the 30-seat bar, where guests are (obviously) welcome to bring in their sandwiches from next door. (After Meat Cheese Bread closes at 7p.m., the bottleshop encourages hungry drinkers to order take-out or delivery from other neighboring spots.)

All this week, Beer celebrates its opening with a series of guest-tap takeovers, beginning tonight with the Commons Brewery and continuing with nights curated by Breakside (January 4) and Ninkasi (January 6). Beer's hours of operation: 11a.m. to 11p.m., daily.
