SOUTH WATERFRONT—Signs of life at the long-stewing Little Big Burger outpost on the SW Waterfront: A Facebook announcement reveals a projected opening date of early February. [EaterWire]
NORTHEAST—Tucked away in this review of NE "micro-restaurant" complex the Ocean comes the tidbit that developer Kevin Cavenaugh is working on another microproject on NE Sandy, "boasting a shared commissary kitchen and five food spaces." It's called "the Zipper"; more information as it becomes available. [Eat Beat]
PEARL DISTRICT—Apple's wayward mapping app could be costing Metrovino hundreds of dollars per night. According to co-owner Todd Steele, the app directs potential customers to an incorrect address in SW Portland (as opposed to its actual location in the Pearl), leading to several phone calls per night from diners looking for clarification — and perhaps as much as $50,000 in lost revenue since the app launched last September. KATU "problem solver" Shellie Bailey-Shah was unable to get Apple to comment. [KATU]
